Crowdfunding finds its place in real estate sector

Crowdfunding has burst onto the real estate scene as an opportunity for small investors. It’s now possible to invest with just 500 euros in your pocket with Housers, which calls itself the first online real estate crowdfunding platform in Spain.

The platform was launched with the idea of creating a fund to allow the general public to invest in real estate and taking into account the success these platforms have already had in countries like the US and England. After just one day online, it already had 800 users.

The platform, adapted to the new Crowdfunding Law passed in April 2015, is mainly geared towards buying housing. With a minimum of 500 euros in four different projects or 2,000 in one, users can purchase a stake in a home and get monthly income from rent, plus the capital gains when it is sold.
