The emblematic office building with LEED Gold certification is being commercialized as rental corporate headquarters
Alting Real Estat Group unveiled the new Ruiz de Alarcón 5 to the most important real estate agencies in Madrid. The event revealed the outcome of the major rehabilitation project of the emblematic rental office building located on the street of the same name in Madrid, undertaken in conjunction with the Ortiz.León Arquitectos architecture studio.
Carolina Marcos, deputy general manager of Alting, was in charge of opening the unveiling of the high-end transformation of the building, one of the prominent assets in the property company’s portfolio.
Next, Íñigo Ortiz, co-partner of Ortiz.León Aquitectos, outlined the challenges they had to grapple with in the rehabilitation of a listed historical building, which they managed to turn into a flexible office building adapted to the latest international trends.
Next, Savills Aguirre Newman and CBRE España, the agencies that are co-exclusively listing the property, outlined the building’s features.
Virginia Plaza from Savills Aguirre Newman presented the details of the building and its privileged location in the Los Jerónimos neighborhood, near the Stock Exchange and Retiro Park. Then, Ignacio Forcada from CBRE highlighted how a building with the features of the new RA5, with LEED Gold certification, is perfect for housing corporate headquarters.
Finally, CBRE and Savills Aguirre Newman led a guided tour for the agencies attending the event, in which they walked through every inch of the building and ended on the leisure terrace located on the roof, where they were able to look out over the magnificent views of Madrid.
On the occasion of this launch, the Ruiz de Alarcón 5 project has donated the equivalent amount of a memento of the launch to the Food Bank Foundation of Madrid, a charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is to secure free food to be donated and distributed to charitable organizations in the Community of Madrid.
