Technology companies tend to locate in Grade A buildings, characterized by being sustainable, efficient and located in the most modern facilities. The average surface area varies between 1,300 m² in Barcelona and 1,200 m² in Madrid.
Bearing in mind the increase in the number of coworking space openings over the last three years, the space contracted by techies has reached 424,720 m² in Madrid and 365,500 m² in Barcelona.
In Barcelona, the area most in demand by tech companies is concentrated in the 22@ technology district and in Madrid the area outside the M30 is booming.
