“Bxd arquitectura” will be the firm designing the residential building at 43 Balmes Street recently acquired by Alting Real Estate Group.

The Developments Department of Alting issued a tender among five architectural firms of recognized prestige in Barcelona in order to give the best quality and architectonic singularity to the development.

The building, located in the upper part of Balmes Street next to Kennedy Square, was constructed in the mid-20th century by the Catalan architect Eusebi Bona.

The winning bid comes from a profound study of the original project. In this way, it manages to return to the building its historic value, giving it at the same time the features and services that dwellings of high standing of the 21st century require. Along the same line, a timeless design of the interiors has been planned, recovering the best elements of classicism placed with elegance in a modern composition.

“Bxd arquitectura,” led by the architect Francesc Buixeda and with headquarters in Barcelona, currently has a team of architects and interior decorators and is working on projects of dwellings, hotels, cultural and corporate establishments with clients in Europe, Colombia and Russia.
