Alting Group participates in the auction of Paseo de la Castellana, 14 in Madrid

On Thursday, March 30, the Alting Group participated in the bidding process on the building of the Paseo de La Castellana, number 14, owned by Social Security and which was finally awarded to the Consorcio General de Seguros for 40.25 million euros.

The starting amount of the public tender was 17.48 million euros and the bidding was done by raised hand. Among those interested there were only 11 renown companies, among which stood out the family company Fonsagrada, of Alicia Koplowitz; Cogein, a company of Marco Colomer; and the SOCIMIs Merlin Properties and Axiare Patrimonio.

The privileged location of the building, in the coveted corner of the Madrid artery and the street Ayala, finally generated an intense bidding of Alfredo Coto, from Argentina, the owner of the company Malakul and owner of the adjacent building and the Consorcio General de Seguros, a public organization that belongs to the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.

The building of 5,800 m² has limited use, since it is located on a lot dedicated to public services, which implies that it has to be used for government offices, educational centers or foundations, but cannot house dwellings or offices.
