The purchase of housing bids 11.1%

The purchase of housing bids 11.1%, thanks to the  spurt of the secondhand. In 2015, the purchase of housing will represent 37.2%.

Specifically, the increase in the total sale has been 11.1% and marks the consecutive bid in a complete exercise after the collapse of the previous five years, according to the data released today by the National Statistics Institute (INE). A total of 354,132 operations have been carried out, the highest number of transactions since 2011. In 2009 sales contracted 25.1% and in 2008, 28.8%.

It should be noted the growth of the sale of 37.2% of second-hand housing, up to 276,300 transactions (accumulates three years in augment), while new housing decreased by 33.7% (thus adding five negative exercises).

89.8% of the dwellings transmitted by sales in 2015 were free (318,055) and 10.2% were protected (36,077). The number of free homes transferred by sale increased by 11.1% compared to 2014 and that of protected homes, by 10.8%. On the other hand, 22% of the homes transferred by sale in 2015 were new (77,865) and 78% used (276,267). The number of operations on new homes decreased by 33.7% in 2015, while that of used homes increased by 37.2% compared to 2014.

If the December data is analyzed, it should be noted that the indicator grew by 6.8% year-on-year, which represents 16 consecutive months of growth.

Regarding the evolution of sales by region, the variable of farms transmitted per 100,000 inhabitants reached the highest records in 2015 in La Rioja (8,131) and Castilla y León (7,027). The autonomous community that registered the highest annual variation rate was La Rioja (18%). For its part, the only one that registered a negative annual variation rate was Castilla-La Mancha (-0.8%).
