NUMA Madrid Fuencarral, launched in the heart of Madrid, just steps away from Gran Vía, Malasaña and the city’s main leisure areas.
Madrid, February 3 2026 – NUMA Group, the leading European tech-enabled hospitality platform operator that runs multiple brands, including NUMA and Native, applying a shared operating system, data-driven revenue management, and centralized infrastructure, today announced the opening of its newest property in Madrid: NUMA Madrid Fuencarral, located on one of the city’s most iconic and vibrant streets.
NUMA operates and manages hospitality assets under the NUMA and Native by NUMA brands, with a focus on centrally located short-stay accommodation in Europe’s leading cities.
The opening of NUMA Madrid Fuencarral marks another milestone in NUMA’s expansion in Spain, a core growth market for the group. Growth is driven by long-term partnerships with local real estate owners and the conversion and repositioning of existing buildings into high-quality hospitality assets operated under long-term agreements.
NUMA Madrid Fuencarral combines contemporary design with the dynamic rhythm of the Spanish capital. Its prime location – within walking distance of Gran Vía, Plaza Mayor and the Malasaña district – makes it an ideal base for leisure and business travellers seeking centrally located, design-led short-stay hospitality. Madrid’s key attractions, cultural venues and dining districts are all within easy reach.
The building, located at Fuencarral 6, was originally developed as an office property in 1992. Following a comprehensive repositioning, the 3,200 sqm asset – featuring more than 25 metres of street frontage – now comprises 34 short-stay hospitality units across five floors, including studio units with kitchenettes, one-bedroom units and units with private terraces.
Paul Alvarez, General Manager Spain at NUMA Group, said: “Madrid is a strategically important market for NUMA, with sustained demand for centrally located, design-led short-stay hospitality. NUMA Madrid Fuencarral demonstrates how existing buildings can be repositioned into high-performing hospitality assets through a combination of strong locations, thoughtful design and a tech-enabled operating model. Our focus in Spain is on long-term partnerships and scalable growth alongside local owners.”
Alting Group Deputy Director General Carolina Marcos highlights: “This project reflects our commitment to enhancing the value of prime urban assets through repositioning projects that respond to changing demand in Madrid. Fuencarral 6 is a clear example of how a building can adapt to new uses while staying clearly focused on quality, location and long-term sustainability. We are very happy to be working with an operator like NUMA through a long-term agreement to consolidate this asset as a benchmark in the city centre.”
The property is owned by Grupo Alting, which carried out the repositioning of the former office building. The real estate group has subsequently entered into a long-term lease agreement with NUMA Group, under which NUMA will operate the property for the next ten years. The project has recently opened to guests.
With NUMA Madrid Fuencarral, NUMA further strengthens its presence in Spain, where it has built a robust pipeline of several hundred signed hospitality units across key cities including Madrid, Marbella and Málaga. Growth in the market is driven primarily by the conversion of existing urban buildings into hotels, aparthotels and short-stay accommodation assets operated under the NUMA and Native by NUMA brands.
