Tourist Apartments Project on Carrera de San Jerónimo 19

DOWNTOWN, MADRID
2600 m2

Commercial building located in the heart of Madrid, between the Congress of Deputies and Puerta del Sol, just minutes from Paseo del Prado and Alcalá Street, in one of the most dynamic and sought-after districts of the capital.

The property, located at Carrera de San Jerónimo 19, connects the Congress with Neptuno Square, in a location where 19th-century classical architecture meets urban modernity. It is a zone of great cultural, historical, commercial, and business interest, surrounded by museums such as the Prado and Thyssen, iconic buildings, and some of Madrid’s most prestigious hotels like Four Seasons, Urban, Westin Palace, and Mandarin Oriental Ritz.

The acquisition of the building from a fund affiliated with Marathon Asset Management strengthens Alting’s expansion strategy in Madrid, adding this asset as the group’s fourth property in the capital. The Carrera de San Jerónimo 19 project is an example of Alting’s ability to identify and transform properties in strategic locations into high-value projects, reaffirming its role as a leading real estate investment group in the prime markets of Madrid and Barcelona.

General features

Transformation project in a top-level cultural, commercial, and hotel environment - Prime Investment by Alting

Built in 2007, the building was once the headquarters of Caja Castilla-La Mancha and later of Liberbank (now integrated into Unicaja). It offers 2,600 m² of space distributed over a basement, ground floor, and six upper floors, plus an exceptional rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city.

The action plan managed by Alting’s Promotion Department includes the comprehensive renovation of the property, changing its use from offices to tourist apartments, including the restoration of both facades and common areas.
