The operation is part of a plan to generate value after fully transforming the building, which is located on one of Barcelona’s most consolidated business streets.
Barcelona, 16 December 2025 – Alting Group has closed a deal to sell the building at Diagonal Avenue, 431 bis to Banca March, in an operation mediated by JLL Private Wealth Barcelona.
The transaction is part of the group’s asset repositioning and rotation strategy and culminates a process that began with purchasing the propertyin October 2024 and fully transforming it, carried out by the Alting Group investment, development and sales teams.
Located in the heart of Avinguda Diagonal, the building is 6,186 m2 and has undergone an in-depth redesign and repositioning process to adapt it to new market demands.
As a result, the asset has been granted LEED Gold certification and become a Class A office building, making it even more attractive in this increasingly popular area for financial and corporate activity that is now seeing the highest prime rental prices in the city.
As Deputy Director General Javier Marcos noted, “The operation is part of our strategy to maximise asset value through internal management. Our technical and sales teams were in charge of establishing what product to develop, and Diagonal 431 bis is the perfect example of how a strategic location, paired with a comprehensive transformation, can adapt a property to market changes and take advantage of opportunities at just the right time.”
Diagonal Avenue, consolidates role as city’s financial mile

This shift is due to the companies’ need for larger, more efficient spaces that meet current standards, which is more difficult on historical streets like Passeig de Gràcia. Avinguda Diagonal, given its accessibility and space for large corporate buildings, has become the city’s main business and financial street (as JLL reflects in its market report).
Asset repositioning and rotation strategy
The sale of Diagonal 431 bis is part of the Alting Group’s strategy, freeing up resources to continue promoting new investments and identifying opportunities in prime locations, maintaining a balanced portfolio aligned with market evolution.
