Barcelona, October 14, 2024. – Carolina Marcos, deputy director general of ALTING Real Estate Group and WIRES partner, took part in the WIRES (Women in Real Estate Spain) breakfast titled “Reconversión de oficinas: Maximizando el valor del activo” (Office conversions: Maximizing asset value), a key event to analyze the most innovative strategies in converting real estate assets in an ever changing market.
Held in the SIMON headquarters in Barcelona, this event was presented by Ariadna Belver, founding partner at Belver&Co and member of the WIRES board of directors, and brought together noteworthy professionals from the sector to discuss the options for repositioning offices and adapting them to new uses, such as residential, hotel, tourism and retail. The event also looked at the different market dynamics in Barcelona and Madrid, highlighting the need for personalized focuses to maximize value and return for real estate assets in both cities.
In her talk, Carolina Marcos highlighted “the importance of adapting property assets to the changing market demands and taking advantage of the opportunities of converting spaces to maintain their long term value and competitiveness.”
Plus, she stressed the Alting Group’s experience in both markets, pointing out that the company manages assets in Barcelona and Madrid, two cities with different demand and evolution, which requires a deep understanding of both environments to maximize the success of each project.
With over 45 years of experience in the Spanish real estate market, Alting currently has several hotel, tertiary and residential projects underway in Barcelona and Madrid and is analyzing new acquisitions, mainly in those same cities.
