Digitalization in the real estate sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barcelona, January 30 2023.- As we explained in our post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alting.com\/en\/digital-transformation-process-real-estate-sector\/\">on digital transformation in the real estate sector<\/a>, the sector has significantly stepped up the use of technology in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>While up to a few years ago the digitization of the sector was limited to having a <strong>website<\/strong> as a showcase and posting real estate <strong>listings online<\/strong>, today there are a plethora of innovations used in all areas of the sector, such as, for example, <strong>Big Data<\/strong>, the<strong> Internet of Things<\/strong>, <strong>Blockchain,<\/strong> <strong>virtual and augmented reality<\/strong> or the <strong>metaverse<\/strong> as a sales channel.<\/p>\n<h3>BUT WHERE IS REAL ESTATE DIGITALIZATION AT NOW?<\/h3>\n<p>The pandemic marked a turning point for real estate, with <strong>Spain becoming the second leading country in the world<\/strong> <strong>in terms of PropTech<\/strong> \u2014 or property technology \u2014 <strong>investment<\/strong>, behind only the US, generating 824 million euros between 2020 and 2021 according to data from Deloitte and the organization of Real Estate Agents (API) in Catalonia.<\/p>\n<h3>CONSOLIDATION OF DIGITALIZATION.
