{"id":2189,"date":"2020-05-18T10:00:38","date_gmt":"2020-05-18T08:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.alting.com\/the-de-escalation-continues\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T14:51:03","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T13:51:03","slug":"the-de-escalation-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alting.com\/en\/the-de-escalation-continues\/","title":{"rendered":"The de-escalation continues, Catalonia enters phase 0.5 and phase 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barcelona, May 18 2020.- Spain is continuing to gradually progress through the <strong>phases of the deescalation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Seventy percent of the Spanish population is now in phase 1, while <strong>Barcelona, the Community of Madrid and part of Castilla y Le\u00f3n are still in phase 0<\/strong>, albeit with special measures.<\/p>\n<p>This past midnight, Catalonia entered phase 0.5 and phase 1.<\/p>\n<h3>What regions in Catalonia are in phase 0.5 and which are in phase 1??<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Regions in PHASE 0.5:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>City of Barcelona<\/li>\n<li>Northern metropolitan region (including Baix Montseny).<\/li>\n<li>Southern metropolitan region (except Alt Pened\u00e8s and Garraf).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Regions in PHASE 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Girona<\/li>\n<li>Lleida<\/li>\n<li>Central Catalonia<\/li>\n<li>Camp de Tarragona<\/li>\n<li>Terres de l\u2019Ebre<\/li>\n<li>Alt Pened\u00e8s<\/li>\n<li>Garraf<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What activities are allowed in each phase?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>PHASE 0.5:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following are allowed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Businesses<\/strong> and <strong>services:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Appointments are not required.<\/li>\n<li>Maximum capacity is 30%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Libraries:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Book check-outs and returns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Museums:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Can open with 1\/3 capacity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Places of worship<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>1\/3 capacity, physical distance and no contact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following are not allowed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General <strong>mobility<\/strong> outside the municipality (or within the healthcare region).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Groups<\/strong> of people.<\/li>\n<li>Opening of <strong>terraces.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Opening of <strong>hotels.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Active and nature <strong>tourism.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Opening of <strong>cultural venues<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PHASE 1 AND PHASE 0.5:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following are allowed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opening of <strong>businesses<\/strong> measuring more than 400m\u00b2 if the excess area is cordoned off and at most 400m\u00b2 is used.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sales,<\/strong> as long as there is no crowding.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Professional or federated sports<\/strong> outside the municipality but within the healthcare region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hunting<\/strong> and <strong>fishing.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pedro S\u00e1nchez will request the last extension of the state of alarm until July to prepare for the completion of the de-escalation.
