Last February, the Alting Real Estate Group signed the agreement for the leasing and transformation of its building aragó 271 for the third hotel the ROOM MATE HOTELS chain will have in Barcelona.

The building at Aragón 271 was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, keeping its classic façade intact. Initially, it was the headquarters of the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO, in addition to being the building chosen to hold the 20th anniversary of CASA DECOR 2012, the largest interior decoration, architecture and art exhibit of Europe. The building’s 4,000 square metres divided into seven floors will be renovated to house 81 rooms, garage and a terrace with a swimming pool.
